Maria Butta, Owner and Senior Stylist has been in the hair industry for 20 years and is a graduate of Robert's Institute of Hair Design. She achieved her lifelong goal of owning her own salon is July 2009 when she opened Tranquille Hair & Body. Maria's specialties include highlights and multidimensional color. Her advanced education includes
The Color Academyin New York, as well as annual color andcuttingrecertification classes.
Cindy McLaughlin, Senior Stylist has 14 years of experience as a hairstylist. Her specialties include the Keratin Complex Treatment; coloring; highlighting; and cuts for men, women and children. She continues to farther her education with advanced classes. Cindy is passionate about her craft and aspires to make her clients look and feel great.

As a courtesy for both our employees
and our clients, we do ask for 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment and a 48 hour notice for multiple services. We require that all appointments consisting of multiple services be held with a valid credit card. A fee of 50% of the total cost of the appointment will be charged for untimely notice. Please understand that out of respect for other clients, we may not be able to service a client who arrives late to an appointment, as we try our best to be on time for our valued clients.
Gia D'Angelo Callahan, Senior Stylist has 9 years of experience as a hair stylist. She specializes in
curly hair, and is known for her gorgeous color, highlights, and precise cuts. She also has extensive training and
experience in Keratin Complex Hair Therapy. Gia's laid-back and friendly personality combined with her
knowledgeand talent make her an outstanding hairstylist!
Alison Krysiak, Aesthetician was voted 2009's Best Makeup Artist by "Best of Citysearch," has 9 years of experience as an esthetician. Her specialties include organic facials, full body and facial waxing, stress relief back treatments, and makeup artistry. Alison was featured in the June 2008 issue of Baltimore Magazine for her waxing services, and was amakeupartist for radio personality Anita Marks from 2007-2008. Alison enjoys relaxing her clients with her popular, invigorating body treatments and facials which will melt your stress away.
Susan Downs, Senior Stylist is a graduate of Maryland Beauty Academy and an American Board Certified Hair Colorist, has 19 years of hairstyling experience. Susan's specialties include highlighting, multidimensional coloring,
cutting, and Hairlocs extensions. Susan's creativity, passion, and talent have helped her to build an
impressive book of regular clients;however, she is excited to meet new clients here at Tranquille.
Christina Ledford, American Board Certified Stylist is a 1996 graduate of Maryland Beauty Academy. She specializes in corrective color, multidimensional color and Hairlocs extensions. Christina has participated in many hair shows and has expanded her knowledge and experience through participation in advanced education classes. Christina is a former color and
highlighting instructor who loves to meet new clients and use her creativity.
Olivia Pivec, Senior Stylist has been in the beauty industry for nearly a decade, specializing in higlighting and haircuts. She attended the Robert Paul Academy in Timonium, Maryland and has had extended education with Paul Mitchell, Rusk, TIGI and Graham Web. It is her out-going personlaity and passion for the industry that make Olivia a fantastic stylist!
Aubrey Schneider, Hair Stylist graduated from the cosmetology program at Parkside Vocational School in 2008. Since graduating she has continued training with such companies as Kevin Murphy, Redken, Matrix, TIGI, and Bumble & Bumble. Aubrey is extremely well rounded, specializing in cutting, coloring, styling, and ethnic hair.
Jessica Kipp, Hair Stylist/Nail Technichian is a graduate of Harford Technical High School. She has been a cosmetologist for over 12 year's. She specializes in color, highlights, updo's, brazillian blowout's, haircuts, and shellac manicure's and pedicure's. Her passion for this industry goes above and beyond and she aims to please. Continuing education is always a must for her.
Sarah Aiello, Hair Stylist graduated from Robert Paul Academy of Arts and Sciences in Timonium, MD in 2011. Her passion for continuing her education has since motivated her to continue to learn. Specializing in highlights, color, cuts, styling, and Brazilian Blowouts, Sarah loves to help her clients look and feel their best!
Erica E. Baxter, Spa Manager and Lead Medical Aesthetician
Erica joined Tranquille Hair & Body in 2012, coming from several positions from Spa Consultatant, Medical Consultant and Medical Aesthetician. Joining Robert Andrew Medical Spa in 2011 as Spa Manager and lead medical aesthetician and the BCFPS in September of 2010 as a Medical Aesthetician. She is a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists and specializes in Microderm-Abrasion, Chemical Peels, and has extensive knowledge in Physician Grade Skin Care Products. Erica believes in not only good skin care but in the education of skin care to patients. Erica’s passion for what she does allows her to continually be doing research on new products, new ingredients and new technology to greater your results and her aesthetic practice.

Senior Hairstylist Janice Porpora combines 40 years hands on experience with a wealth of practical knowledge, as we welcome her to our Salon Team. Her years of specialized training in New York, Virginia, and throughout the Northeast have enabled Janice to put her training to work as a top color specialist! Her expertise shines through her love to cut and is undeniable in the faces of her satisfied clients! Previously operating her own salon for over 25 years, she offers a genuine understanding to assist each client in clarifying expectations with results. Janice draws from her practice as a Sculpter and Artist, using her creative eye and talents to bring each client’s unique style to fruition.
