Owner & Senior Hairstylist Maria Butta has been in the hair industry for 19 years and is a graduate of Robert's Institute of Hair Design. She achieved her lifelong goal of owning her own salon is July 2009 when she opened Tranquille Hair & Body. Maria's specialties include highlights and multidimensional color. Her advanced education includes The Color Academy in New York, as well as annual color and cutting recertification classes.
Senior Hairstylist Jenna Crew has been a stylist for 15 years and has a passion for hair and making people feel beautiful. Her continued education keeps her motivation strong and her techniques up to date. Jenna has attended many advanced education classes, including Graham Webb advanced cutting, Schwartzkopf advanced color, and training with world-renowned stylist Sam Villa. Jenna is also a certified Liscio Japanese Straightening specialist. Jenna's fun-loving, down-to-earth personality makes her a joy to work with, as well as a pleasure to chat with while getting your hair done.
Senior Hairstylist Tammie Bevan, a graduate of Ron Thomas School of Cosmetology, has over 20 years of hairstyling experience. A talented and open-minded stylist, Tammie's specialties include highlighting, coloring, cutting, and styling. She has advanced educationin many areas including coloring and razor cutting, and has trained at the Toni & Guy Academy in London. Tammie loves interacting with clients and using her creativity to make them look their best.
Manicurist and Waxing Specialist Michele Muscello received her cosmetology license in 1997 from Maryland Beauty Academy. She specializes in natural and acrylic nail services, as well as full body and facial waxing. Michele performs her nail services by hand without use of a damaging electric file. She has advanced education in speed waxing, OPI products, and Bella Lucce products. Michele loves to make her clients feel relaxed while still giving them
an impeccable service and experience.
Senior Hairstylist Cindy McLaughlin has 14 years of experience as a hairstylist. Her specialties include the Keratin Complex Treatment; coloring; highlighting; and cuts for men, women and children. She continues to farther her education with advanced classes. Cindy is passionate about her craft and aspires to make her clients look and feel great.
Our Policies
As a courtesy for both our employees
and our clients, we ask for 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment, and 48 hours notice for multiple services. We require that all appointments consisting of multiple services be held with a valid credit card. A fee of 50% of the total cost of the appointment will be charged for untimely notice. Please understand that out of respect for other clients, we may not be able to service a client who arrives late to an appointment, as we try our best to be on time for our valued clients.
Senior Hairstylist Gia D'Angelo Callahan has over eight years experience as a hair stylist. She specializes in curly hair, and is known for her gorgeous color, highlights, and precise cuts. She also has extensive training and experience in Keratin Complex Hair Therapy, a popular smoothing and defrizzing treatment. Gia's laid-back and friendly personality combined with her knowledge and talent make her an outstanding hairstylist!
Esthetician Alison Krysiak, a graduate of Von Lee International School of Aesthetics, has eight years of experience as an esthetician. Her specialties include organic facials, full body and facial waxing, stress relief back treatments, and makeup artistry. Alison was featured in the June 2008 issue of Baltimore Magazine for her waxing services, and was a makeup artist for radio personality Anita Marks from 2007-2008. She has advanced education in ilike, our organic skin care line, as well as Eminence and Dermalogica. Alison enjoys relaxing her clients with her popular, invigorating body treatments which will melt your stress away.
Senior Hairstylist Susan Downs, a graduate of Maryland Beauty Academy, has 18 years of hairstyling experience. Susan's specialties include highlighting, multidimensional coloring, cutting, and Hairlocs Extensions. Susan's creativity, passion, and talent have helped her to build an impressive book of regular clients; however, she is excited to meet new clients here at Tranquille.
Massage Therapist Jean Bartgis has been a licensed massage therapist for 5 years. Whether you prefer a light, relaxing massage or deeper pressure to work out your tension, Jean's "magic touch," warm personality, and abundance of knowledge will leave you refreshed and relaxed.
